French Branch 2012 AGM - 3 Feb 2012

Dear members,

The French Teachers' Branch will have its AGM on Friday, February 3, 4:30 pm at St Joseph's College, Gregory Terrace, Spring Hill. The venue is the Callan Centre, easily accessed from the Victoria Street side of the College. We will welcome you with afternoon tea.

For a number of years the Branch has organised and run a range of activities for students of French teachers.

Some long standing members of the committee are stepping down this year to concentrate on other commitments. This will leave some important positions such as Treasurer and Webmaster vacant. To maintain a viable and active branch this year and into the future, new faces with new ideas and energy are needed to assist with these activities and take on various executive roles.

Attached is a brief description of the executive positions and the events proposed for this year.

Please, read this and consider how you can contribute: support from current and past position holders is guaranteed. While these roles may appear onerous, the committee only meets about 6 times each year and committee members are flexible and helpful. Without more members taking up positions on the executive and assisting with running activities the branch may not be able to continue to offer the activities it has in the past.

We look forward to seeing many of you at the meeting and wish you a productive and happy 2012.
