Membership of the MLTAQ is intended for all teachers of languages other than English including pre-service teachers and tertiary members. Membership applies per calendar year. All fees are in Australian dollars and include GST.

Membership entitles the member to:

• contact with professionals working in the teaching and/or learning of languages
• workshops, seminars and a state conference every two years
• the MLTAQ Journal (hard copy) and the LinQ Newsletter (electronic) & the national AFMLTA journal Babel
• discounted fees for MLTAQ events and both state and and national MLTA conferences
• functions for students, eg Bastille Day, Oktoberfest, speech competitions, etc
• access to data on current practice and research
• access to the MLTAQ website and email lists.

Membership categories are:

• Individual member
• Student member - for full time students
• Overseas member
• Corporate member - for companies that wish to advertise in MLTAQ publications (eg publishers NOT schools). The fee includes two half page advertisements.
• Journal subscription only - published 3 times per year.
