2025 EPI in action: Developing accuracy and oracy in the second language classroom
Gianfranco Conti is visiting Brisbane on Monday 12th May to deliver a workshop on EPI in action: Developing accuracy and oracy in the second language classroom. He will be presenting at Mount Alvernia College, 82 Cremorne Road, Kedron.
We are delighted to welcome Dr. Gianfranco Conti to Brisbane for a professionaldevelopment workshop on Extensive Processing Instruction (EPI), designed for teachers of all languages across both primary and secondary education. Dr. Conti’s workshop will explore strategies to develop accuracy and oracy in languagelearning, with a particular focus on enhancing spoken fluency.
Through engaging, hands-on activities, participants will discover practical techniques to support confident andeffective communication in the target language. These strategies are highly adaptableand can be applied in both primary classrooms to build strong foundational speakingskills and secondary classrooms to refine fluency and accuracy, particularly in senioryears.
The workshop will cost $200 per member or $290 non-member and will include morning tea and lunch.
